Happy Solstice to all in the Northern Hemisphere. This is a time of renewed energy and activity. The sun is at its highest and most powerful point for us and we need to embrace its light and warmth. The sun for me is masculine in nature; it's aggressive and strong and can be overpowering if not balanced by the more fluid feminine moon. I hope we can all use the longer days to create, socialize and get outdoors more and move......... as I sit here at the computer LOL!
Imagery from Dover books, Photoshop brushes and a digital tie-dyed background that I made.
Its a beautiful piece!

Beautiful post Lori..gorgeous image, colorful, so magnificent and visually stunning..perfect energy for this day! Your words made me think of my own inner journey , being born with sun allergy, it was no fun..and it made me draw a parallel to my natural connection to feminine-Goddess energy-moon..and I felt rejected( as a young girl) by the male energy of the sun...healing that connection and harmonizing both powers and being embraced by the sun-god as I grew older..funny how us kids think!plus I was scared I was a vampire with my sun problems ha ha!I now embrace the sun's magic!
ReplyDeleteYour art moves my spirit and takes me to powerful places!
