Woodlands

Autumn seems to be arriving early in my back yard with little acorns adorning the old oaks that invite these gentle "wild animals" to pay a visit. This is for the upcoming Take A Word challenge this week.  Imagery from the new itKuPiLLi kit blended in Photoshop.  I spent 7 years fostering squirrels through the wildlife rehab center in Marin, taking them in from about 10 weeks old until release and they are amazing animals- some of my guys are still roaming the woods near me!

    Beautiful autumnal piece, Lori. Although these animals are very common in the northern hemisphere, they don't exist in Brazil, so I get fascinated every time I see them when I travel...

    Lori, the fall colors are radiant! So beautiful. Today feels like fall after the hot muggy weather. Maybe it will really come early this year with all that golden beauty.

    I love that brilliant colored peaceful scenery. Squirrels are one of my favorite animals. In my last home we had trees around and there lived a lot of them and I could them feed of my hand.

    I love this. The colors are fabulous for fall and what better subject than a squirrel. I love watching them in our yard....never a dull moment.
