Beauty Is

This is my entry for the Take A Word challenge this week where the theme is "Beautiful" and what the word means to you. For me of course Nature captures my heart ; its colors, textures, sounds, its natural palette feeds my soul. When I want beauty I head outdoors and I am never let down.

About this new blog.......After four and a half years at my Ravenpainting blog I just really felt like a change in venue; a new, light -filled place to create, a template that was more up to date and welcoming.  It is still a work in progress. I have thought about trying to change and update Ravenpainting for quite a while now but in fact, I really liked  the way it was and did not want to alter it- I wanted it to stay true to it's original format but was still wanting something different and new. One of the wonderful things about these online journals is that we will always be able to go back and see where we were at a certain time in our lives and share them with perhaps grandchildren or  just for ourselves.  I have found so many wonderful friends on line and hope to find many coming here. I find this a bit like adding a new room or remodeling a room in your home... it has an excitement and newness to it that certainly helps my muse stay alive and kicking!

Par Avion

This is my entry for the upcoming Sunday Postcard Art challenge where the theme is "Mail Art"- one of my passions.  This is also the first entry in my new blog; something I have been wanting to do for a while now. I wanted to design a new place to create , dream  and incorporate a bit of magic. A place filled with light and new perspectives.  Welcome to Foxglove Hollow!
